SEE FOR YOURSELF!

The TC Smoke Experiment was conducted using a standard Patterson TC-18 and a 48’ long tractor-trailer.

The tractor-trailer was filled with smoke which was provided by a smoke candle (smoke candle was rated at 8,000 cubic feet of volume in 1 minute).  When the trailer was sufficiently filled with smoke, the TC-18 was turned on and focused towards the bulkhead.  The fan was allowed to run until all of the smoke was evacuated.

A photograph of the trailer was taken at thirty-second intervals.  The results of the experiment were recorded on film as shown.  The experiment was conducted at Patterson Fan Company, Inc. in Blythewood, South Carolina.
